The lovely grounds that surround the house, including the productive garden, have been professionally designed and constructed by Malcolm Berce from Desert Flower Landscaping.
The productive garden is two years old and has sensibly been constructed just in front of the kitchen. From a nondescript sloping garden, Malcolm has created level tiers with a sloped pathway to access the vegetable and herb garden. Corten steel retaining walls enabled the ground to be levelled out for planting and the oxidizing walls with prostrate rosemary spilling over them give the garden a great contemporary feel.
Fruit trees such as citrus, dwarf nectarine and peach have been used in conjunction with beneficial perennials and plenty of room for seasonal plantings of vegetables and herbs. A Wistow slate crazy paved pad with dichondra planted between the joints is adjacent to the productive garden and bounded by an assortment of floriferous salvias and grasses.
A sub pod worm farm assists in dealing with food waste and subsequently supplies a huge and happy population of worms.
Activities: Professional landscaper Malcolm will be available all weekend to discuss the garden and how he constructed it.
Please note: This garden is not suitable for wheelchairs.
